I decided to hold some petite sessions this past spring. These popped into my mind because I was inspired by the fact that everything turns brown, or golden, so quickly around here. I wanted to be able to squeeze in some spring sessions while things were still green, so that’s just what I did! The timing of these sessions were a little difficult just because I had an already packed schedule. The things that are inevitable as a family photographer. But I was able to squeeze these into my schedule just before things got too brown for them to be called spring sessions. Hah. It seems like everything got dry so quickly this year because of the drought. Nevertheless from this Oakland Family Photographer, the golden grass is still beautiful. And there truly isn’t a bad season here in California to have your family photos taken!
I digress. I was so thrilled when this sweet mama contacted me wanting to book a session! Her little guy was the sweetest little bubba ever! And even though he was a bit hungry and fussy during the session, we still managed to get some amazing photos. That one of his mama and him is one of my favorites! I always want to reassure parents when their kids aren’t acting as expected during sessions (whether they are babies or toddlers) that it’s okay! The way you view your session is totally different than I do. There is absolutely no judgement coming from me. I’ve got two littles of my own! And more often than not your photos always turn out SO beautiful! So beautiful that you forget even how the session unfolded. I like to think there’s just magic created in my camera, and the moments.. Whether hard or easy, they are so worth capturing!
