Every year my family has gone to Santa Cruz to cut down a Christmas tree, as fun as that is, I thought we should embark on even more of an adventure, and so we did! We got a permit to cut down a tree in the National Forest. Two days after Thanksgiving, we loaded up into the truck, and drove 5 hours to a tiny general store with really good chicken sausage, there we handed over our $10 and got a big red ticket and a very confusing map. Then began the hunt for the perfect spot, 1 hour later we pulled off of the windy, foggy, rainy road to a cluster of trees and started hunting. After finding our gems, we headed down the mountain, where we got burgers and beer of the way home, a successful day indeed! Here’s some documentation of the grand adventure! XO
