I say it over and over, but I absolutely love how I get to meet couples and walk this journey with them as I have the first children. If you missed it I got to take some gorgeous maternity photos for this couple last fall. And then here’s this session right here, where I got to capture sweet little Aiden as a newborn. They welcome me into their home to take some photos of them as their San Mateo Newborn Photographer. I loved how beautiful and light-drenched their living room was. With a large window the morning sun streamed in and it provided the greatest lighting for their newborn photos.
Yang wore a gorgeous yellow dress for their session, and I absolutely love the pop of color that I provided. It complemented their neutral sofa so well. Little Aiden was such a trooper for his newborn photos, he was sleepy for some of them but also opened his eyes for some of their session too. He was a little bit older, around a month old, in these photos. I adore when babies are older because they sometimes are awake for photos. I think when people imagine newborn photos sometimes all they think of is sleepy babies. And although that is usually the case, sometimes we get those sweet little big eyed pictures. Which are some of my favorites to capture.
Of course we had to take some photos with the fur baby too. I love it when pups join in on Family photos. Although we spend most of their session in their home, I also took them outside into their darling backyard to take some pictures. This is becoming one of my favorite things to do during sessions when the weather allows. I really feel like it rounds out the gallery and allows for a bit of a change of scenery!
