This was such a lovely motherhood photography session for my sweet friend Julia and her children. Julia is also a talented film motherhood photographer. I was so thrilled when she contacted me and wanted to book one of my almond blossom sessions. Not only did I know that this would be such a sweet time to take pictures of her and her kids to highlight their relationship. I also knew that would be extra special because these almond trees only bloom for one to two weeks out of the year. They’re gorgeous and fleeting and really are such a unique location for photos.
Of course, since Julia is a photographer herself, she came prepared with the most beautiful outfits for her and her children. I love the petite floral dress that she wore in pastel colors that perfectly complemented the white almond blossoms. And how she layered her kids in cardigans and sweaters. Since the morning was still quite chilly and a bit windy.
She was even so sweet to bring her camera and take some behind the scenes photos of me too. Which I might just include at the bottom of this post for fun. I am so grateful for the kind farmer that allowed me to take pictures on his private property this year. I’ve been searching and searching for almond blossoms to shoot in for a while now. But just never came across the right spot that was close enough to where I lived, until now. So taking photos in these blossoms was truly a dream come true on so many different levels.
