Is this not such a gorgeous maternity session?! Rebecca was the most beautiful, and glowing, mama to be. And it was such a treat to be able to take her maternity photos. For their session these parents-to-be chose a local olive grove. Which is honestly one of my favorite settings for photos. Not only are the leaves the perfect silvery light green. But her dark blue dress was the perfect complement and really added a beautiful depth of color. It was such a dream to be chosen as their San Jose maternity photographer.
It was so great to be able to meet up and get to know Rebecca and her husband at their maternity session. Both of them are teachers, so it was sweet to talk to them since my husband is a teacher too. They told me about their baby boy on the way. And how they have two sweet Husky pups that I got to meet at their newborn session a few months later!
Shooting film for this maternity session felt extra special. Not only do olive groves photograph so beautifully, but I feel like they’re even more beautiful on film. And if you’ve been around here for any amount of time you know that I love doing double exposures on film. Because it’s like creating a work of art. And the anticipation of seeing what they will look like is an added fun bonus. Needless to say, I was so thrilled when I saw this double exposure of Rebecca from her session. It’s just breathtaking.
