I was so excited when this sweet mama contacted me to take some family photos for them again. I got to meet them at their family session last fall. There really is nothing I love more as a SF Bay Area Family Photographer than getting to see families year after year. She wanted to do the session in their home to commemorate where they live! And I really love a good in-home lifestyle family photo session. It really is one of my favorite types of sessions to photograph. So read on to hear more about this beautiful family.
Even though it was a super rainy and gloomy day, their photos turned out so beautiful and fun! I adored how playful their little guy was. Even though he may not have been wanting to smile- we got so many sweet photos of him with his parents. I feel like parents often worry about photos at this age, where kids can be a bit of a wild-card. But rest assured, that with a little fun and running around usually their sweet personalities start to shine. And even if they aren’t into photos, that’s totally okay!
Some of my favorite photos from this session are of him staring out the window with the raindrops streaming down, or of them all sitting together on the floor. Their home had a gigantic wall of large sliding doors, and it made all that beautiful light stream in! There was even enough light to shoot some film, which is somewhat unheard of on gloomy days like this one! I’ve already got a few more in-home sessions lined up for the future and can’t wait for them. There’s something so sweet about you being in your space for photos that just is so cozy and special.
