I adored this beautiful day as a San Jose family photographer. This sweet family met up with me on a chilly evening in the early fall of last year for some updated family photos. Some friends of theirs had hired me earlier in the season for some family photos, and sent my name along. I so appreciated the referral to get to photograph their family as well! We chose a location out in Fremont, one I had only just discovered. It ended up being a beautiful spot for some sunset family photos.
Their outfit colors really tied in well with the fall foliage. Those beautiful reds and browns helped to tie everything together. Not to mention give their photos a lovely fall feeling.
Even though most of their session was overcast, the sun peeked out for a quick minute in the middle of it. Those quick few seconds created the most beautiful golden hazy glow. And of course those photos were some of my favorites from their session. My other favorite batch from their session are of them all hanging out under the tree. Their session was “over” technically, but I always like to keep my camera out just in case any spontaneous moments arise. This is a perfect example of why! Because I got to capture these sweet photos of all of them playing together, something so natural and authentic. Photographers, I encourage you to do the same. Sometimes those moments after photos are officially done are when you get the best photos of all.
